We are thrilled to announce a new partnership between HEX and Broken Hill High School, with their high school students participating in the upcoming Term 4 cohort of the HEX High Accelerator Program. This comprehensive high school has approximately 420 students, with 23% identifying as Indigenous and 7% from non-English-speaking backgrounds. The school is located in Broken Hill, Far West NSW, and the town has a population of about 17,000 people and is 1200km west of Sydney.
Ms Sue Trenaman, Senior Study Coordinator at Broken Hill High School shared why the school chose to partner with HEX, “The program offers an amazing opportunity for our students with a keen interest in starting a business. It will allow them to connect with people who are industry leaders and innovators and provide them with insights and information that is rarely available to them.”
Ms Trenaman continued by sharing her excitement for the program, “HEX, and their partners, have been extremely generous in offering our interested students this opportunity. The students participating are very grateful to be included in the program and will certainly grow from this valuable experience.”
The HEX High Accelerator Program is a 6-week, online innovation program for high school students with industry instructors from companies like Google, industry mentors from companies like Atlassian and university credit from the University of Sydney.
