How it started

One Thursday afternoon, our co-founders shared ideas about the startup community and the future economy.

A recovering Aussie banker, Bevis moved to San Francisco. And after observing the Silicon Valley startup scene, he wondered: Where is all the diverse talent on the global stage?

Meanwhile, Jeanette was enjoying her corporate innovation career when she chose to study UX design. She launched her first business – a career consultancy – working with creatives and techies.

She wondered: What skills and mindsets do my clients need to turn their ideas and talents into world-changing startups?

Teaming up, they designed a program robust enough for academic accreditation at RMIT. And with a cohort of just seven students and one mentor-in-residence, they ran their first pilot program to Silicon Valley.

Paying It Forward

In 2015, countries around the world adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Businesses, governments, and individuals can all contribute to these goals in some way. We have eight goals where we hope to make a difference.
