Registration is open for the Future Founders 48-hour Hackathon, 28-29 August, online. All current and former students and graduates (up to 5 years post-graduation) are encouraged to register.
Curious about entrepreneurship but not sure if it’s for you? The 48-hour Hackathon offers you the chance to find out.
Join a team and gain practical experience to turn a business idea or social enterprise into a workable model, ready to pitch, all focused around the theme 'Hack for Happiness!'. We’re challenging you and your team to Hack for Happiness and help unleash some joy and fun back into our world.
Across the weekend of 28-29 August, the Hackathon offers you:
- practical knowledge and experience;
- a chance to meet and work with fellow current and former students;
- advice from business specialists and mentors;
- feedback on your pitch in a supportive environment; and
- an insight into entrepreneurship as a career.
Teams with the strongest pitch presentations relating to the theme, will be offered the opportunity to present again, with a chance of winning a prize.
The Hackathon is run by Hacker Exchange (HEX), the Hackathon pros as a feature of the Future Founders Program, presented by Study Melbourne and StartSpace.
It’s open to all current and former students and graduates (including up to 5 years post-graduation). You can create your own team or HEX will include you in one. We encourage people with all different skillsets and ideas to join in.
Please note that registration is essential, and it closes 11.59pm Tuesday 24th August. Keep scrolling for more information about the Hackathon.
