From Decline to Growth: Adapting to the Evolving Job Market

The business landscape is undergoing a disruptive shift. Digital transformation, AI, and automation are reshaping industries, creating new opportunities, and rendering traditional roles obsolete.

Yet, many organizations are struggling to keep pace.

The Skills Gap is a Real Threat

Jeanette Cheah, CEO & Co-founder of HEX, at the Entrepreneurial Winning Women Asia-Pacific, Class of 2024 (hosted by EY).

A recent survey by EY sources revealed that a staggering 70% of leaders believe at least half their workforce requires upskilling in 2024. This highlights a critical skills gap that threatens organizational success. While 60% recognize the need for upskilling to embrace the future of work, only half have adequate training opportunities in place.

Hence, organisations are increasingly investing in transformation initiatives, but the reality is more complex. 41% of leaders admit that transformations are more challenging to execute than anticipated, and a disheartening 38% report underperformance against KPIs.
